AlgoIndex Review 2026: Automated SPY and QQQ Options Signals, Executed in Your Own Broker Account

AlgoIndex is a young, small company with a clear idea: publish dealer-positioning levels for the S&P 500 and single names, grade those levels in public after each session, and wrap that record around automated same-day options strategies that run in the member's own broker account, plus a desk-style daily research process in one dashboard.

Verdict

AlgoIndex is more than a signal feed. Its starting point is dealer-positioning levels that it grades in public after each session, and behind the automated strategies sits a full daily research desk: a premarket plan and a closing statement that checks the morning's levels against what the market did (AlgoDesk), three market briefings a day, a study tool that files every ES session by the kind of day it was (Session Patterns), and a scenario-map tool in preview (Atlas). Every tab has its own guided tour, which made the dashboard easy to learn.

The core product is automated trading. AlgoIndex has automated trading (broker auto-execution): its strategies send signals through TradersPost into your own broker account, so your money never leaves your broker. We did not test the automated trading ourselves. How it works is described here from AlgoIndex's own pages, and performance is AlgoIndex's published record.

That record is presented with more care than is usual in this category. AlgoIndex publishes win rates only, keeps its backtest apart from its forward record, labels the backtest "Hypothetical", says when outcomes moved from simulated fills to a live brokerage account, and states how it scores a win and a loss. It was also unusually open in May 2026, when it paused new autotrading signups to fix problems its own audits had found.

Best for: options traders who want a hands-off, rules-based SPY/QQQ day-trading process running in their own broker account, with daily ES, NQ, gold and crude research alongside it; traders who value a published, graded record.
Less suited to: traders who want to design their own strategies or automate crypto; anyone whose broker isn't supported for stock options through TradersPost; traders who want overnight or multi-day positions (the strategies are flat by 15:58 ET).

How we tested

  • Who and when: our senior reviewer explored the AlgoIndex member dashboard on 23 Oct 2026.
  • Access: AlgoIndex provided complimentary access to its three strategies for this review.
  • What we looked at: every dashboard tab (Overview, AlgoDesk, Atlas, Market briefing, Session Patterns, Strategies, Trades, Journal, Webhooks, Notifications, Activity, Account), the built-in page tours, and AlgoIndex's public pages: pricing, performance statement, FAQ, About, Atlas and its public scorecard, and announcements.
  • What we did not test: AlgoIndex has automated trading (broker auto-execution). We did not test the automated trading ourselves: no broker or TradersPost account was connected, so no signals were executed on our side. How it works is described from AlgoIndex's own pages, and performance figures are AlgoIndex's published record.
  • Tools: AI tools helped us map the features and organise our notes.
  • Vendor material: where something comes from AlgoIndex's pages rather than our own use, we say so. Product framing also reflects how AlgoIndex described itself when offering review access (public forward-only level grading; TradersPost as the optional order bridge).

What AlgoIndex is, and the idea behind it

The idea behind AlgoIndex starts with levels, not with a black-box bot. It publishes dealer-positioning levels for the S&P 500 and for single names — call wall, put wall, gamma flip, prior-day high, value-area high, volume point of control and related marks — and then grades those levels in public: marked before the session, scored after the close, forward-only, with nothing revised afterward. That public grading is what the company asks to be judged on. The live numbers live on its accuracy tracker; the page also offers a downloadable scored dataset, and a full copy sits on GitHub under a Creative Commons licence so anyone can audit compute-time vs grade-time stamps without going through AlgoIndex. Figures on that tracker change as more sessions are scored, so we point readers there rather than freezing a single snapshot in this review.

Around that record, AlgoIndex runs automated day-trading strategies on index futures and options. Two of them read ES (S&P 500) and NQ (Nasdaq-100) futures and trade same-day (0DTE) single-leg long options on SPY and QQQ. A third, AITrader, sends SPY options signals as setups appear. All of them are intraday and flat by 15:58 ET. Members also get the live signal feed, the member dashboard, AlgoDesk, market briefings three times a day, Session Patterns, Atlas (in preview) and a trading journal — the research desk and the automation sit in one place.

Execution, when a member turns it on, happens in their own account. AlgoIndex sends each signal as a webhook to the member's TradersPost account, and TradersPost places the order at the member's broker. In AlgoIndex's words: "AlgoIndex never holds customer funds. The TradersPost bridge sends signals → your broker fills → settlement at your broker." (FAQ) The bridge is the order router; the graded levels, the signal feed, the dashboard, the three strategies and the journal are the product you can use without connecting a broker. We did not connect TradersPost or a broker for this review.

Who is behind it

AlgoIndex is operated by ALGO INDEX, INC. (d/b/a AlgoIndex), "a Florida corporation" according to its Terms of Service. Florida's corporate register lists ALGO INDEX, INC. as incorporated on 17 December 2024. The site credits its work to "the AlgoIndex Research Team" and does not name individual team members.

Background and timeline

AlgoIndex is a young product. The milestones below come from its own announcements and public records:

DateMilestone
Dec 2024ALGO INDEX, INC. incorporated in Florida
Aug 2025X account @AlgoIndexCom opened
15 May 2026New signups to the autotrading tiers paused for a platform upgrade
1 Jun 2026AlgoIndex's forward performance record begins
3 Jun 2026Autotrading tiers re-opened
1 Aug 2026iOS app launched on the App Store
14 Aug 2026Forward record moves from simulated fills to a live brokerage account

The May 2026 pause. AlgoIndex handled this openly. Its announcement explains that "two thorough internal audits surfaced gaps in how trade signals flow from our engine through TradersPost to your broker," that customer accounts "could miss exit signals on partial profits or stop-outs," and that "there were rare edge cases that could cause duplicate orders." Rather than "patching around the issues and hoping nothing breaks," it paused new autotrading signups, rebuilt the foundations and added automated safety checks. It offered existing autotrading customers a choice: "free extension until your tier is genuinely re-live, OR full refund + DiscordPro free for 6 months." The tiers re-opened on 3 June. Few vendors in this category disclose a problem this plainly, and AlgoIndex deserves credit for it.

How a signal flows: strategy → webhook → TradersPost → broker → journal

AlgoIndex describes the trade lifecycle in five steps on its home page:

  1. Structure scan: the engine "continuously reads market structure, order-book depth and volume across multiple timeframes."
  2. Stage fires: a multi-stage SPY options setup "triggers with a defined entry, strike and expiration."
  3. Risk check: "Long options only. Max loss is the premium paid. Position size is held inside a hard 10% account cap." The FAQ adds five safety gates: session window, ORB, trade-limiter, can-enter and exit-rules.
  4. Bridge: the order goes through TradersPost, "the secure broker bridge," into the member's own brokerage account.
  5. Exit: "Take-profit bracket armed, position flat by 15:58 ET, result written to your journal automatically."

If a webhook delivery fails, the FAQ says AlgoIndex "retries with exponential backoff. After 5 consecutive failures, the webhook auto-suspends and the AlgoIndex team is alerted. Already-open positions stay open."

How AlgoIndex's automated trading works, as described on AlgoIndex's own pages. We did not test the automated trading ourselves.

The member dashboard, tab by tab

The dashboard has twelve tabs, and every page has its own guided tour behind a Tour button in the header. The Overview tour runs nine steps, AlgoDesk six and Atlas fifteen. For a product with this many moving parts, the tours do a lot to shorten the learning curve.

Twelve tabs, from Overview to Account, each with its own guided tour.

Overview

The Overview opens with a prompt to set up broker auto-execution through TradersPost. The dashboard explains: "Until you do, you'll see signals in your feed but they won't fire trades on your side." Below it is a status strip for Automated Algorithmic Trading (Disabled until a broker is connected), the market lean, a live ES quote and a countdown to the next scheduled market event.

Next comes Market Pulse: the headline and game plan from the latest briefing, with a Market Score dial that the tour describes as "a 0-100 read of the current setup, computed from the briefing's own conviction and conditions." Four tiles follow: Signals today (entry signals only), Active strategies, Webhook health and Subscription. Quick links lead to the activity log, strategy preferences and support.

Market briefing

Three editions each trading day (morning, afternoon and overnight), according to the Overview tour. AlgoIndex also publishes a daily Market Outlook article for each of ES, NQ, GC and CL on its public site.

AlgoDesk

AlgoIndex calls AlgoDesk "our trading day on one page." It has three tabs. Premarket Plan sets out the morning's level ladder. Live Desk is a feed updated through the session. Closing Statement checks the morning map against what the market actually did. The level ladder lists the price zones the morning analysis expects to matter, each with the reasoning behind it (positioning, dealer gamma, pivots), and the Verdict panel narrates how the session unfolded around them. A "Historical view" lets you read past days.

AlgoDesk's Closing Statement grades the morning's level ladder against the session that followed.

Atlas (Preview)

Atlas is labelled Preview, and we have scored it that way: described in full, but not weighted as a core feature.

Each trading evening Atlas builds a scenario map for ES, NQ, Gold (GC) and Crude (CL). It runs seven "lenses" (chart patterns, Elliott Wave, measured statistics, Wyckoff, supply and demand, a 20,000-path Monte Carlo simulation, and VWAP and volume levels) and resolves them into a lean (Leaning bullish, Leaning bearish or Two-sided), three dated end states (bull, range and bear) with probabilities over the next 2, 5 or 20 sessions, and a ranked ladder of the levels that decide them. AlgoIndex's Atlas page says the probabilities refresh hourly from 8 AM to 4 PM ET on trading days. The section bar holds Scenarios, Levels, Roadmap, Lenses, Chart, Positioning and Scorecard. The Roadmap shows where price is likely to be at a chosen time, with a time slider and first-breakout odds.

What stands out is that Atlas is graded in public. AlgoIndex's public scorecard grades every map "Called", "Partly called" or "Missed" against what the market did next, and "keeps every grade, the misses included." On 23 Oct 2026 it reported Routes called 48.5% (33 finished calls), Levels respected 62.4% (83 held, 50 broken) and an accuracy score of 0.610 across 83 forecasts, which AlgoIndex itself describes as "Weak: only slightly better than even odds." Few tools publish a self-assessment this candid, and it is a good reason to treat Atlas as the work in progress its Preview badge says it is.

Session Patterns

Session Patterns files every ES session AlgoIndex has on record by the kind of day it was: dealer gamma regime, data releases (CPI, PCE, payrolls, jobless claims, GDP, ISM and PMI), Fed speakers, expirations, month and quarter ends, and short weeks. The day-type constellation shows each type as a hub and each session as a dot sized by its range. Click a hub and the day-type profile shows how many sessions are on file, their median range, how they resolved (up, down or mixed) and a per-session log. AlgoIndex's public page lists more views: a calendar, pattern playback, an analog finder, a closing-auction "imbalance seismograph" and a road ahead of upcoming typed days. It is "included with every paid membership" and, in AlgoIndex's words, "a study tool… it does not predict the next one." The demo page marks it "Rolling out."

Strategies

The Strategies tab lists the strategies your plan includes, each with its vehicle, how access was granted, its status and a Details link: NQ/QQQ Options Strategy (QQQ, continuous), ES/SPY Options Strategy (SPY, continuous) and AITrader (SPY, event-driven). Per-strategy preferences, such as sizing and instrument filters, sit behind the Strategy preferences link.

The Strategies tab: AlgoIndex's three options strategies, each marked Active.

Trades

The Trades tab shows a member's own trades once their strategies start firing. Until then it shows AlgoIndex's complete track record, "shown anonymized: outcomes and R-multiples only, no dollar amounts or account-size information." See Performance below.

Webhooks, Notifications and Activity

Webhooks shows the health of your broker connections. The Overview tour describes the Webhook health tile as telling you "how many of your broker connections are responding." Notifications controls where fired signals are delivered: a Discord webhook or email, with strategy and signal filters, plus optional Atlas level alerts that push to your phone "when price reaches a mapped level or checkpoint on the Atlas map," off unless you turn them on. On AlgoIndex's pricing page, every paid plan includes one Discord destination per strategy, and the Notification Pro add-on ($9.99/month or $79/year) raises that to up to 10 destinations, with custom HTTP endpoints and per-destination filtering. Activity logs "every signal and close, timestamped."

Notifications: route fired signals to Discord or email, filtered by strategy and signal type.

Account

The Account area covers profile, security, subscription, referrals, broker setup, the TradeStation link, preferences, notifications, support and data and privacy. The theme toggle switches between light, dark and automatic.

The built-in journal

AlgoIndex makes a lot of its journal, and with reason: it is the one part you can use free, with no card. From AlgoIndex's journal page:

  • AI Quick-add (free): "Paste a fill or drop a screenshot. AI extracts symbol, side, size, entry, exit, stop, and times. Unknown fields stay blank, never guessed."
  • Performance analytics (free): net P&L, win rate, profit factor, expectancy, average R and an equity curve, "computed for you as you log."
  • Any instrument, any broker (free): equities, options, futures, forex and crypto.
  • Broker-style option chain (free): pick the exact contract from a chain with bid, ask, mark and the at-the-money strike marked.
  • Market context (paid plans): AlgoIndex's dealer-positioning levels for any optionable ticker: call wall, put wall, gamma flip, expected move and implied range.
  • AI Coach (paid plans): "a graded review of every trade, grounded in the levels for that symbol and your own trading stats," with a letter grade and "a short list of what to do next time."

On the automated plans, AlgoIndex says each strategy trade's result is "written to your journal automatically." The free journal is a low-risk way to try the product, and per the pricing page, "your journal stays" if you upgrade.

The broker connection

There are two separate connections, and it helps to keep them apart.

1. TradersPost auto-execution (the automation). This is how AlgoIndex's automated trading reaches your account. You open a TradersPost account, connect your broker and paste AlgoIndex's webhook URLs into your dashboard. An onboarding wizard in the member area walks you through it, and the FAQ estimates "about 15-30 minutes once you have a TradersPost + broker account." The pricing page lists one webhook stage for AITrader, two for each standalone strategy and all five on AlgoBundle, which includes a single TradersPost coupon. Broker commissions are separate. AlgoIndex's FAQ notes that "most options brokers charge $0.50-$0.65 per contract."

Which brokers work? Every AlgoIndex strategy trades SPY or QQQ options, so the column that matters is stock options. TradersPost's own broker table (traderspost.io/brokers, checked 23 Oct 2026) lists stock options as "Fully supported" for TradeStation, Alpaca, tastytrade, E\*TRADE and Tradier, plus TradersPost's own paper account. AlgoIndex's FAQ says its team trades on TradeStation as its primary broker. Check your own broker against TradersPost's table before subscribing to an automated tier.

2. TradeStation read-only link (optional). Separately, you can link a TradeStation account so the dashboard shows your real balance and P&L. The Account page is explicit: "This is optional, read-only access: AlgoIndex can display your numbers, and can never place, change, or close orders in your account through this connection." You sign in on TradeStation's own page, and "AlgoIndex never sees your password."

What we did: AlgoIndex has automated trading (broker auto-execution). We did not test the automated trading ourselves. We connected neither TradersPost nor TradeStation, so this section describes the setup from AlgoIndex's dashboard, tours and public pages.

The optional TradeStation link is read-only: balance and P&L on the dashboard, and no order access.

Performance: AlgoIndex's published record

The figures below are AlgoIndex's own, from its public Performance Statement (algoindex.com/performance-statement, "Updated Oct 23, 2026, 11:54 AM ET"). The page recomputes them at most once an hour, so they will have moved by the time you read this. We did not trade the strategies, so we report the figures as published.

AlgoIndex's published figureValue
Forward record, all three strategies, since 1 Jun 202674.1% win rate (226 wins / 79 losses), 333 trades
Of which on a live brokerage account, since 14 Aug 202671.4% (100 wins / 40 losses), 144 trades
Before 14 Aug 2026"the same signals were forward-tested with simulated fills"
ES/SPY backtest, Jan 2023 to 18 Oct 2026, labelled "Hypothetical"74.4% (395 wins / 136 losses), 532 signals; profit factor 1.45

How the win rate is counted. In AlgoIndex's words, the rate "counts only trades that ended in a win or a loss"; trades that closed flat, did not fill or have no result yet "are counted in the totals and left out of the rate." Dollar results "are intentionally not shown," because position size, broker and fill quality differ by member.

How to read it. The backtest scores a win as "a gain of half the premium risked" (+0.5R) and a loss as "the premium lost" (-1R). On that payoff the break-even win rate is about 66.7% before costs, so the win rate is best read alongside the payoff. AlgoIndex states this payoff shape on the page ("many small gains against fewer full-premium losses") and also shows how its backtest looked over rolling stretches from two weeks to twelve months. Both are worth reading before you subscribe.

The page also shows per-strategy records, 95% confidence ranges for the shorter windows, and a past-performance and hypothetical-results notice.

Support, education and community

  • Support: email (info@algoindex.com, "we aim to reply within 1 business day"), a 24/7 AI support chat on every page, the members' Discord, and "URGENT" in the subject line for issues with a live trade (contact page).
  • Self-help: FAQ, What to Expect, a Demo walkthrough, Atlas's "How to read in 60 seconds" guide and the in-dashboard tours.
  • Free education: daily Market Outlook articles and evergreen guides (gamma exposure, market internals, OPEX) on the public site, plus free gamma-level tools.
  • Community: a members' Discord, X, YouTube and TradingView. The community is still small, as you would expect from a product this young.

Who AlgoIndex suits

  • Good fit: US options traders who want a rules-based, intraday SPY/QQQ process executed automatically in their own account (TradeStation, Alpaca, tastytrade, E\*TRADE or Tradier via TradersPost), and who will also read the daily ES/NQ research.
  • Good fit: traders who want the research and tools without automation: DiscordPro or the free journal.
  • Less suited: crypto bot users, strategy builders who want to code their own logic, futures-only traders, and anyone who needs Android or in-app order entry.

Alternatives

See Comparison and alternatives above, and our Trading Bots & Automation category.

The bottom line

AlgoIndex brings a desk-style daily process (plan, live desk, closing statement, briefings and session study) to retail options traders, and connects it to automated SPY and QQQ strategies that run in the member's own broker account. AlgoIndex has automated trading (broker auto-execution). We did not test the automated trading ourselves, so judge it on AlgoIndex's published record, which is presented more carefully than most, and on whether your broker is supported for options through TradersPost. Start with the free journal or DiscordPro if you want to try the research first. We will update this review after hands-on automation testing and as the live record grows.
